This privacy policy is intended to inform you about how your personal data (hereinafter referred to as "Personal Data") is collected, processed, and stored by ALMA STUDIOS, 108 rue Réaumur - 75002 Paris (hereinafter "Alma Studios" or "we") when you use the Alma application (the "App") and the website https://almastudio.com (the "Site").

We are deeply committed to respecting your privacy and the confidentiality of your Personal Data and we therefore undertake to process your Personal Data in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 (the “GDPR”) and French Law No. 78-17 of 6 January 1978 on Information Technology, Data Files, and Civil Liberties as currently amended (hereinafter the "Applicable Regulations").

We may amend this Privacy Policy at any time, in whole or in part. In the event of a change, we will notify you by email and direct you to the new version of the Privacy Policy.

DATA COLLECTED

When you register on the Site by creating a personal account ("Alma Account"), certain Personal Data is directly transmitted to Alma Studios, including:

  • Your first and last names;

  • Your email address;

  • Your password.

When you request the App download link to be sent via SMS from the App Store or Google Play, your phone number may also be collected.

When you subscribe, your billing and payment information, such as your billing address or credit card number, is collected via the Stripe payment module (see section 3 below for more information on recipients of your Personal Data).

Under no circumstances is information about your children collected or processed by Alma Studios. Therefore, when you create a child profile in the App by entering their first name and age, that information remains on your device and is not transmitted to us.

Alma Studios may also collect usage data, including details about your navigation (e.g., pages visited, number of clicks, etc.), which are generated while you use the Site or the App.

PURPOSES

Alma Studios processes your Personal Data for the creation and management of your Alma Account, including for subscription billing purposes. Your Personal Data may also be used for customer support purposes, to respond to your questions and complaints.

The legal basis for processing your Personal Data is the necessity for the performance of the subscription contract you have entered into.

Personal Data related to your use of the Site or App may also be used by Alma Studios for analytical purposes, particularly to improve the usability and overall presentation of the Site or App, and for targeted advertising purposes, in Alma Studios’ legitimate interest. Finally, your Personal Data may also be used for marketing communication and newsletters, also under Alma Studios’ legitimate interest.

RECIPIENTS – DATA TRANSFERS OUTSIDE THE EUROPEAN UNION

Your Personal Data may be transferred to our service providers and subcontractors acting on our behalf and under our instructions, including our technical and hosting providers, and our external advisors (lawyers, accountants, etc.). In particular, the App is developed, managed, and maintained by Music World Media.

You are informed that some of these service providers may transfer your Personal Data outside the European Union, particularly to the United States, under the Privacy Shield (a self-certification mechanism for U.S. companies recognized by the European Commission as providing adequate data protection):

DATA RETENTION

We retain your Personal Data for as long as your Alma Account is active. Your Personal Data will be permanently deleted once you delete your Alma Account, with a 30-day grace period, and subject to any applicable legal retention obligations. Account deletion requests must be sent by email to: contact@almastudio.com

If your Alma Account remains inactive for 2 years following the end of your last subscription, we will delete your Alma Account and your Personal Data after notifying you via email.

You are also informed that Alma Studios reserves the right to retain, in intermediate archives, only the Personal Data strictly necessary for the defense of its rights in the event of litigation, and this for the applicable statutory limitation periods.

EXERCISING YOUR RIGHTS

In accordance with the Applicable Regulations, you have the right to access, rectify, and delete your Personal Data. Under certain conditions, you may also request restriction of processing, data portability, and object to processing on grounds relating to your particular situation when the processing is based on Alma Studios’ legitimate interest. You may also provide instructions regarding the handling of your Personal Data in the event of your death.

You are also informed that you may, at any time and without justification, object to the processing of your Personal Data for commercial prospecting purposes.

These rights may be exercised by contacting Alma Studios and sending your request along with a copy of a valid ID to the following email address: contact@almastudio.com.

You are informed that you may file a complaint with the CNIL (www.cnil.fr) at any time.

SAFEGUARDS

In accordance with our legal obligations, we are committed to taking all reasonable technical and organizational measures and requiring our subcontractors to implement all necessary safeguards to ensure the security and confidentiality of your Personal Data.

Furthermore, we guarantee to use your Personal Data only for the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy and we expressly forbid the communication, transfer, or sale of your Personal Data to third parties.

What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file sent to your browser by a website and stored on your device. Cookies enable the website to collect information about your visit, such as your navigation path or preferred language, to enhance your browsing experience and improve the site's content and features.

Which cookies are used on the Site?
You are informed that during your visits to the Site, Alma Studios may install session cookies on your device, particularly to keep your session active. The following cookies are used:

  • x-alma-installation-id: unique identifier generated on your first visit to the website

  • x-alma-access-token: login session cookie

Third-party cookies are also present on the Site, including cookies from Stripe, our payment service provider.
